Re: video4linux-list digest, Vol 1 #1384 - 10 msgs

I tried all the options mentioned and I don't have sound yet.

By the way, I always see the msp3400 module as unused in the lsmod list.

There isn't any ffmpeg in the Redhat9 CDs, so I couldn't test:

ffmpeg -ad /dev/dsp2 -vd /dev/video0 testme.mpg

I think I have all the connectors plugged in the right place, but it
might help to get some sound from the card, even if it is not from a TV
channel, so I can be sure that the problems are with the configuration,
and not with the connections. Any guess?

About the configuration posted some months ago:

alias char-major-89 i2c-dev
options i2c-core i2c_debug=0
options i2c-algo-bit bit_test=1
alias char-major-81 videodev
alias char-major-81-0 bttv
options bttv card=6 audiomux=0x0e,0x04,0x08,0x04,0 gpiomask=0x0f
options tuner debug=0 type=2

And comparing with some of the suggestions, I would like to know how
could I load the required modules via modprobe, so I can try with
combinations of (modprobe <--> rmmod) without having to reboot. Which
should be the sequence of modprobe's? And then how to rmmod to try again
with something different?

Thanks in advance,

Albert
