Re: AVerTV stereo - no sound

I load msp34xx first, then the bttv stuff,
then btaudio with

options btaudio dsp1=1 digital=1 dsp2=2 analog=1

and then I use aumix on /dev/mixer1 (you can add a
options tvmixer devnr=3 if you want /dev/mixer3, etc.)
and then pull audio with:

ffmpeg -ad /dev/dsp2 -vd /dev/video0 testme.mpg

I've never successfully gotten digital audio though,
only the audio dsp.

Dears,

I'm trying to get the sound working in my Avermedia AVerTV with the
msp34xx Stereo Nicam chip.

Since I bought it I haven't been able to get the sound working. I can
see perfectly the image with the default configuration. Redhat9
configures it automatically. But no sound.

The AverTV card I have has line-out and line-in connectors on it in addition
to the coax connector. I have a separate sound system connected to the
line-out connector and the sound system has a stereo amp and speakers. Works
great. With the card there was a short connector cable to use to connect the
line-out to the line-in on my sound card but did not try to make that work. I have it working using xawtv with RH V8.0

I have tried the configuration some of you send to the list, but I don't
get sound neither image:

modules.conf
------------
alias usb-controller ehci-hcd
alias char-major-81 videodev
alias usb-controller1 usb-uhci
alias char-major-195 nvidia

alias char-major-89 i2c-dev
options i2c-core i2c_debug=0
options i2c-algo-bit bit_test=1
alias char-major-81 videodev alias char-major-81-0 bttv
options bttv card=6 audiomux=0x0e,0x04,0x08,0x04,0 gpiomask=0x0f
options tuner debug=0 type=2

alias sound-slot-0 via82cxxx_audio
post-install sound-slot-0 /bin/aumix-minimal -f /etc/.aumixrc -L
/dev/null 2>&1 || :
pre-remove sound-slot-0 /bin/aumix-minimal -f /etc/.aumixrc -S
/dev/null 2>&1 || :
/etc/modules.conf (END)
------------

I'm sure that sound in the general is ok, but I tried to run xawtv with:

xawtv -noxv

or

artsdsp xawtv

Xawtv doesn't seem to have problems running but for a fonts warning:

This is xawtv-3.81, running on Linux/i686 (2.4.20-8)
Warning: Cannot convert string
"-*-ledfixed-medium-r-semicondensed--39-*" to type FontStruct

My local config is europe-west and PAL.
