I am setting up a new rig to run MythTV. I have MythTV running fine now with video and audio. When I moved on to getting the remote to work I ran into a problem I have not been able to figure out. Any help would be appreciated. In short, I had to add options bttv audiomux=0xff44e to modules.conf in order to get MythTV to run without locking up. But adding that option completely screws up the remote control. I read on the web that some people were having problems getting SAP audio with the AVerTV cards. After trying in vain to solve my MythTV lockup problems I decided to try that bttv option on a whim (even though I had finally gotten my audio working fine). Lo and behold that option fixed the MythTV lockup problem. I have no idea why. The remote control, on the other hand works fine *without* that bttv option but is totally screwed up with that option. Button presses are recognized as the wrong keys and even holding down one key will get recognized as different keys being pressed. So there is obviously something wring here. I don't think I should really need that bttv option. But MythTV locks up without it. Here are a bunch of details. I am pretty much lost amongst all of the interactions between the parts. I can supply any further details that may help.
