saa7134 and EIO

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi Gerd,

I've been trying saa7134-20030326 with linux 2.4.20 and have had more
problems.

Specifically:

 - After an indeterminate period of time VIDIOC_DQBUF returns -EIO.
Tracing this through it is caused by a buffer being set into
   STATE_ERROR due to a timeout (BUFFER_TIMEOUT) expiring.
I have no idea why this occurs.

 - Once an EIO error occurs no frames can be captured (ever.. more EIO
errors)

 - unloading/loading the saa7134 driver doesn't fix this problem.

 - Sanity is only achieved by power-cycling the computer.

Any ideas?

   -Greg
