Now I'm more confused than before.

I don't know why it didn't occur to me that the FAQ would be in CVS, too.. But I just checked, and you're right, the entry I remember never appeared in the MythTV FAQ.

So, that got me wondering, "Where the heck DID I see that entry?"

I thought, maybe since I currently have an ATI All-in-Wonder 128 sitting on a shelf, that it might have been on a page associated with the GATOS project. The closest I've been able to find to what I remember is on the FFMPEG FAQ:

"1.3 I get audio/video synchro problems when grabbing.

Currently, the grabbing stuff does not handle synchronisation correctly. You are free to correct it. It is planned to fix it ASAP."

<Sigh> I must've been smoking crack. (A euphamism I picked up in college for "being delusional")

I apologize for any confusion I may have caused.

I'm not at present using MythTV (or any other package) as I'm still trying to decide what hardware to buy, hence the question which started this thread.
