I've installed snapshot v4l2-20030318.tar.gz successfully but not enable to compile meteor2-2.1.1, seems this driver still base on the old videodevX-20020330.tgz <ftp://ftp.thedirks.org/pub/v4l2/kernel2.4/videodevX/videodevX-20020330.tgz> package from Bill Dirks ( bdirks@xxxxxxxxxxx <mailto:bdirks@xxxxxxxxxxx?subject=V4L2> )! Have you installed a meteor2 card running with v4l2-20030318.tar.gz driver and meteor2 driver from meteor2-2.1.1.tgz ??

Hi, I'm trying to use meteor2-1.1 too, but don't know at the moment what to do with V4L2 drivers? my kernel is 2.4.4-4GB (with SuSE 7.2 distribution), should I just get the patch for kernel 2.4 and recompile
my kernel, then get the meteor2-1.1 and compile/install it ?
I'm a newbie and need a recipe to well hack my kernel.
Cheers.

You better get a more recent kernel. Patch it as described on the V4L2
site. Make sure you configure V4L2 _as module_. Then compile meteor2 against
the patched sources (after booting your new kernel).
