saa7134 cards and lirc

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

I have been taking a look at how lirc support would
work with these cards, trying to base something on
either of the following exiting lirc drivers

lirc_i2c or
lirc_gpio

My current card is the FlyVideo 3000. The remote is
the RC50 which already has lirc support on the
FlyVideo 98.

I was after a little guidance on where to go from
here.

1. I have a version of lirc_i2c that tries to use my
saa7134 card but not sure what I should be looking
for. Should it detect a new i2c device for the remote,
if so I'm not finding it at the moment.

2. The saa7134 driver doesn't support the same gpio
hooks as the bttv driver. Hence i'm not sure if I
should continue looking at the gpio route.

At the moment I don't have any tech docs to help me
out at all here. Has anyone developed an i2c sniffer
for Win32 I can use to help me along?

Steve
