Hi Reinoud

Thanks for your memory tester. Sadly it doesn't find anything wrong with my
memory!

I've now tried three DIMMs (2 x 64M, 1 x 128M) and they all fail exactly the
same way, so I'm not inclined to believe it's something else.

I've reassigned the various devices to seperate IRQs so not everything is
clobbering IRQ11, and that hasn't helped either.

Looking through the Compaq BIOS, there are damn few options that look useful!
In the Bus Options I have:
PCI Bus Mastering : Enabled
PCI reset on warm boot: Enabled
PCI VGA pallette snooping : Enabled
ISA back to back I/O delay : Fast
Bus priority : PCI

Do any of these spark any thoughts?

Also the hard drive (WD 5400 rpm 6Gb) is set to Ultra DMA, but I'm wondering
if Extended DMA or PIO might be worth a try?

Jeez - you can probably *taste* the desperation now... :-)

Any clues gladly received
Mike
