Hmm,
I just tried to test feb 18 snapshot (0.2.6) on my FlyVideo 2000 (Pal-BG),
and I still get the green screen in mplayer for full PAL resoultion (720 x
576).
In addition, I finally noticed that the audio isn't working, in fbtv or
xawtv. I've not been paying attention to audio as the TV reception in my
office is pretty poor (where I'm testing the setup currently) even with a
signal booster which I installed recently. However, with the old 0.1.x
driver, I can get decent audio output even if the video signal is grainy.
(Yes, mixer is enabled, and levels at 90%)
With audio_debug=1 and video_debug=1, I see that Mute becomes 0 after
tuning into a channel. In 0.1.x there is output indicating that tvaudio is
scanning for the audio carrier. With 0.2.6 snapshot, I don't see any
audio_debug output at all (not even the "tvaudio thread scan start"
output line).
In addition, there's a new module tvaudio which is not loaded by default.
Modprobing tvaudio doesn't help as I don't think it's meant for the FV2K.
I'm currently using alsa-driver 0.90rc7 with OSS emulation for both driver
configurations if it makes any difference.
I had the same result with all new v4l2 drivers (for linux-2.4.20).
Now I recompiled mplayer with Martin Olchewsky v4l2-patch and kernel
headers hacked for new v4l2 (comments for function:
/usr/include/linux/time.h:9: `struct timespec'
/usr/include/linux/time.h:88: `struct timeval'
/usr/include/linux/time.h:93: `struct timezone'
/usr/include/linux/time.h:119: `struct itimerspec'
/usr/include/linux/time.h:124: `struct itimerval').
Display looks fine but sound does not work for both oss and alsa drivers.
MPlayer does not init audio althouth it sets channels corectly.
