So more weird.
There was some mixup with the new -f europe on commandline and the old
-f europe-cable in the .tvtime folder from my old cvs builds. Fixed
that.
The md9717 has a Television Stereo and TV mono input.
Zapping is still needed first, in opposite to mplayer and mp4live it
mutes on quitting and tunes into another channel than tvtime on md9717.
(The others don't get the Television -stereo and the tuner right and
don't mute.)

Sorry, didn't look for mail, had tvtime :-) Send you the logs now.

The problem with the -w option appears only, when quitting from
fullscreen.
When restarted with -m it works then. So when leaving fullscreen first,
all -widths are available.
