multiplexer in BT chip

Hi!

The BT documentation contains only very few information
about the 4:1 muxer in the chip. Does anyone have
more information?
It says it's not real-time (pixel based) and during the
switching time more than one input can be connected to
together. Is it true?
Why is it not real-time? HOw much time is needed for
a switch?

It's controlled through a memory mapped register. How
frequently is it processed?

I tried to optimize the switching if all 4 channels are
required but if I switch during vsync I get the blank
lines in the middle of the picture, I guees because
it has some delay (half picture?).
