OK I have a number of problems trying to use this
card, and hopefully someone out there can help me.
Me too.
I have grabbed the latest driver from
http://bytesex.org/saa7134/
and associated v4l patches.
Me too.
Plus I built xawtv 3.84.
Me too.

1. How can I force xawtv or another viewer/capture
tool to use NICAM audio as the input. It appears to
sometimes work with xawtv
Simlpy stereo, if you have strong signal.
2. Can't get capture to work with xawtv or any other
tool
With xawtv.

5. Anyone tried tvtime with this card? I get
alternating picture/green display. Also it appears
to make the video driver unstable.
Yes it is.

And heare is more.
v4l2 modules from 07 02 2003 + saa7134-0.2.4 gcc-3.2 glibc-2.3.
I tried to record with mencoder too.
3 problems:
1) with new API (new videodev.h/2.h mplayer does not compile
- redoefinitions in videodev.h.
2) even compiled (with 2.4.19 headers) records green frames 1 per 2 saved.
4) I can not to find any tv application (I mean app to watch tv - alevt is not in that range) appart xawtv which could be easy to build with new V4l2 patches (easy means possible with no hacking).

In kernel messages I found what I usualy see.
Video interface version 1.0
eeh! eeprom not found
registered as new ... type=37 etc.
any fail messages
