Subject: xawtv-3.84 where's xawtv?

Take it easy on me I'm pretty new to this stuff! I want to get the point
where I can setup motion well, and think I should start with xawtv. If you
know of a better forum for my question let me know, I couldn't find it.

I installed xawtv-3.84 and afterwards I don't have the xawtv command. Any
ideas how to get it or what's wrong? I do get /usr/local/bin/webcam,
streamer, record, radio... etc, but no xawtv. It's not on my system - it
doesn't turn up with find or locate. streamer works with composite, albeit
vert or horiz hold is a little messed up with a black line across the
middle. So I think driver and dependencies are OK. I can reply post the
configure make and make install output if it helps. Also tried to build as
rpm and did rpm -i That completed but still no xawtv command.

Originally, I had xawtv-3.74 which was the newest RH8 xawtv rpm at
rpmfind.net and that worked but the tuner didn't. I had dual boot to win98
to change channels. So I thought I'd try 3.84. Now, no xawtv :(

I think it's a software issue, probably my ignorance with installing, but
here's some system info nonetheless:
