My project (IvyTV) is working on a driver for iTVC15 based boards. These are
commonly available as the Hauppauge PVR-350 and older 250's but *not* the
PVR-PCI boards (those are kfir based)[1].

Newer 250's are rumored to be CX23416 (iTVC16) based (encode only, much
cooler). Not sure if what we're doing will be compatible with that part. I
do have some Windows driver source that claims '16 compatibility so I may be
able to figure out the differences. (::shiver:: Windows driver code

We are very early in our development and not even v4l2 (or dvb) compliant
although I suppose you could do something like:

# cat /dev/ivtv0 | mplayer

I doubt xawtv will support our mpeg stream, but some of the docs I have give
the sense that a raw (YUV) stream may be possible.

[1] I do have access to a PVR-PCI for purposes of getting the kfir driver
functional for that board. Maybe when the startup noise from ivtv subsides.
:)
