I've searched for information about the Zoltrix TVMAX card that in any way related to my experience. but I haven't found anything helpful yet. I've found other information and tried a variety of items, but I still have problems getting xawtv TV to work with this card. I apologize in advance if this post is rather long, but I am including information in the hope that someone can give me a clue about how to fix this. Here are some facts: I am running Linux-Mandrake 9.0 with no changes from the recommended installation. dmesg gives the following pertinent information: i2c-core.o: i2c core module version 2.6.4 (20020719) i2c-core.o: driver i2c TV tuner driver registered. I know the tuner on the card=6 (Temic, NTSC 4032 FY5). The symptoms I have is that if I run xawtv in the Windowmaker window manager, the audio and tuner work, but I only get a black display. If I run xawtv in either the Gnome or KDE window managers that come with this distribution, the system freezes. I won't go into anymore detail right now so this post is not any longer, but I would mention that if I run BEOS or Windows '98, this system works flawlessly. If any one can help, or point me in a useful direction, I would appreciate it. Bruce __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Mail Plus - Powerful. Affordable.
