I also have an ATI AIW board with Gatos drivers installed. When I run km I get the /dev/video0 error message to go away. I haven't been able to capture video yet but I can sometimes capture still images. Try running km, which is the video capture driver for ATI cards. I noticed that someone already gave you this advice, but you didn't indicate that you've tried it. ----- Original Message ----- From: "David McBride" <DMcBride@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <video4linux-list@xxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, December 22, 2002 4:36 PM Subject: xawtv recording > I am running Redhat 8.0 and Xfree86 4.2.0. I have an ATI AIW classic with Gatos drives installed. Xawtv works good. The problem is when I try to record, use the xawtv -noxv syntax, it gives error: > can't open /dev/video0: no such device > v4l-conf had some trouble, trying to continue anyway > v4l2: open /dev/video0: no such device > v4l2: open /dev/video0: no such device > v4l: open /dev/video0: no such device > no video grabber device available > I have put Load "v4l" in the modules section of XF86Config already. > > Any help would be greatly appreciated. > > > > -- > video4linux-list mailing list > Unsubscribe mailto:video4linux-list-request@xxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe > https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/video4linux-list
