Hi, I have a Pinnacle USB TV PAL FM tv tuner card I have downloaded and compiled usbvision 0.3.3-test4 into my kernel I am using Mandrake 8.2 My kernel is version 2.4.18 My X version is 4.2 My tuner card has the following hardware: Nogatech USBVision NT 1003-1B Temic 4009 FR5 Philips saa71113h I am using xawtv version 3.72 which came with my linux distribution. When I start xawtv I am able to tune in channels however I do not see an image, only some "green noise" fuzzy horizontal green lines being drawn on the xawtv window. I have noted that in usbvision.h my tuner is registred with different hardware than what I've got from line 323 of usbvision.h {0x2304, 0x0210, 959, -1, CODEC_SAA7111, 3, VIDEO_MODE_PAL, 1, 1, 1, TUNER_PHILIPS_PAL, "Pinnacle Studio PCTV USB (PAL) FM"}, but My tuner has saa7113 chip and temic tuner. that probably makes some difference but I do not know what I should change. I suspect something needs to be tweaked in usbvision or i2c-algo-usb for my hardware but I am not experienced enough to go poking around in source code changing lines. Also there are some errors when I try to insmod i2c-algo-usb and usbvision modules. So, I use modprobe to load them and no errors... Has anyone had similar problems and also, what has been done to solve them. Any help will be appreciated. Also another problem that is related but less important: When I run xawtv in fullscreen mode, I do not get a full screen but a window of the same resoltion with a big black border. Does anyone know how to change that? Below I have pasted all the info that I can. Thanks, Chris. P.S. I apologize for the super long /var/log/messages excerpt, but that is where the problem can be seen in action hopefully... They are the messages from when I load the modules to when I hit "q" to exit xawtv.
