There is for sure something weird going on, when I use mplayer I get
this:

Playing TV
Detected TV! ;-)
Selected driver: v4l
name: Video 4 Linux input
author: Alex Beregszaszi <alex@xxxxxxxxxx>
comment: under development
Selected device: Terratec Cinergy 600 TV
Capabilites: capture tuner teletext overlay clipping
Device type: 47
Supported sizes: 48x32 => 0x0
Inputs: 4
  0: Television: tuner tv (tuner:1, norm:pal)
  1: Composite1: (tuner:0, norm:pal)
  2: S-Video: (tuner:0, norm:pal)
  3: Composite2: (tuner:0, norm:pal)
Using input 'Television'
Tuner isn't capable to set norm!
FPS not specified (or invalid) in the header! Use the -fps option!
No stream found

and tvtime says this:

videoinput: Requested input width 720 too large: maximum supported by
card is 0. Using 0.
videoinput: Requested input width 0 too small: minimum supported by card
is 48. Using 48.

They are both claiming that my largest supported width is 0 :( *argh*

This is how it looks when I load the module:
