I'm not using the bttv driver, so I could be quite wrong here, but it
looks like with
bttv0: using: BT878( *** UNKNOWN/GENERIC **) [card=0,autodetected]
and set these as parameters to the kernel modulesit wouldn't have picked
up the tuner, which is probably why the TV doesn't work. Have a look at
the CARDLIST file (could be in
/usr/src/linux/Documentation/video4linux/bttv/CARDLIST) and pick out
your card and the tuner type (maybe a bit of trial and error for the tuner).
Use these for the module parameters (modprobe tuner type=xx, modprobe
bttv type=xx) and see if you have more luck

I have installed RedHat 7.3 on a PC (Athlon XP). It has found my
FlyVideo card (LR 26 with bt878) but I can't get TV to work. I have
included the outputs of dmesg, v4l-conf and xawtv below. Can anyone
see what the problem is? I am something of a novice so it could well
be obvious - at least that's what I'm hoping. Or if there is some sort
of trouble shooting guide somewhere (or a more apropriate forum to
post to) if you could point me to that I would be grateful.
Thanks,
Isaac.
