My co-worker and I are trying to get a surveillance camera setup to monitor the door to the data center which we manage. We have an Osrey 1x0 capture card, a Compaq Proliant Server running Redhad 7.2 with the 2.4.9-34 Kernel, and xawtv-3.54. We've gone through the setup, and are able to get it to run, and it all seems to work fine, except that all we can see is a black screen. We tested the camera directly connected to a TV's video input, and are able to see everything just fine. I get the fallowing message when running xawtv, and am wondering if someone could shed some light on it. Thanks. # xawtv This is xawtv-3.54, running on Linux/i686 (2.4.9-34) Xlib: extension "XVideo" missing on display "localhost:10.0".
