(saa7134-0.1.9) + Tevion turns off *all* sound with es1371 on inmod

Hi,
I'm using a Tevion-lookalike card from Hofer (its name seems to be
"Medion MD5504" - maybe add this to CARDLIST?) with the current saa
drivers. Video seems to work, but when i insmod (rather modprobe) the
module, I can't get any sounds from my machine any more: not even the
"play" command (or cat > /dev/audio) seem to work anymore. Also, I get
no sounds from the radio.

The sound modules are loaded, and the problem persists even after I
have unloaded all v4l stuff.

I am using ALSA 0.9.0beta10 (from debian sid), a 2.4.19 kernel with XFS,
a GA-6VXD7 Motherboard from ABit with on-board sound from an
ES1371. The video card is connected to the Line In port with the
connector that was in the package.

Another strange thing that happens as I insmod and rmmod the saa module
is that there seem to appear many mixer devices:

crw-rw---- 1 root audio 14, 0 Jan 1 1970 mixer
crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 14, 0 Jul 25 07:14 mixer0
crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 14, 16 Jul 25 07:14 mixer1
crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 14, 32 Jul 25 07:14 mixer2
crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 14, 48 Jul 25 07:14 mixer3

Here's a logfile snippet from inserting the saa module with
audio_debug=1 irq_debug=1 and core_debug=1

/proc/interrupts looks like this:
  9: 19931 IO-APIC-level eth0, saa7134[0]

(pity I only have shared PCI slots available anymore)

Thanks in advance,
