Output video4linux devices problem

I use xawtv.
When I do
$>xawtv -hwscan (print a list of available devices)
for all output devices I created(for video2 for example) the following: 
"dev/v4/video2: Invalid argument"

The same I get trying to do:
$>more /dev/video2

Anybody knows what's the problem?
