I have a similar problem with compaq servers & onboard ATI video card. xawtv will not work with my Osprey 100/220 cards till I disable onboard video and use a PCI video card. Try to remove/disable anything your don't need for the PC to function (nic/scsi/usb... etc) then try with a more recent kernel version. I think Redhat now has a 2.4.9-34 kernel for Redhat 7.1. Brett
