SGI, HP and IBM are quite expensive products. Their 'consumers' are not individuals or SOHOs. They focus the megalomaniac .CORP market segment with strong trend to sell their 'support' services too (this was my own experiences along last decades...). IBM did not succeed w/their Aptivas/OS2 and SGIs are too expensive workstations specially with their OS/soft... Not to mention the closed source/dependency on upgrades stuff. Need a very good cash flow. Open Source and x86 based stuff each day seems to be a stronger and better alternative even to Mac's DPub. enthusiasts.
