Daniel, Here are some PCMCIA cards capturing SVideo and Composite inputs: http://www.ehd.de/vce.htm http://www.jknelectronics.com/vidcap1.htm (US distributor of above? - approx $300.00USD) http://www.hasotec.com/Fg33e.htm Neither reports Linux support, however EHD is moving in the general direction with Linux support for some of its other products (http://www.ehd.de/linux.htm). Perhaps if there is sufficient interest, or if they are amenable to publishing their hardware specifications, a driver may be written by the community? Whatever. A long shot, I realize. But there are people out there who like to write drivers for fun and profit... :) Regards, -bogdan ----- Original Message ----- From: "Daniel James Messing" <dmessing@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <video4linux-list@xxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, June 05, 2002 6:05 PM Subject: Re: good quality webcam for linux? > A BTTV card would be great, but I'm stuck with using a laptop, and > therefore have no PCI slots to work with.
