Andrew, Thanks for your suggestions. I tried as you suggested and there now seem to be less errors. I'm assumming that I need to change all occurrences of EXPORT_SYMBOL_GPL to EXPORT_SYMBOL Do I also need to change the argument to the function MODULE_LICENCE("GPL") ? Now my errors are reduced to, make install - depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.19-pre9/kernel/drivers/media/video/saa7134.o depmod: i2c_master_recv_Rsmp_709ba864 depmod: video_register_device_Rsmp_d5854fa2 depmod: video_unregister_device_Rsmp_614e49b7 depmod: i2c_add_adapter_Rsmp_33b75073 depmod: v4l2_video_std_construct_Rsmp_94eb59ae depmod: v4l_compat_translate_ioctl_Rsmp_20eff94f depmod: v4l2_video_std_confirm_Rsmp_d2bee5d5 depmod: i2c_master_send_Rsmp_06fe6d88 depmod: video_usercopy_Rsmp_dceed9f1 depmod: v4l2_fill_ctrl_category_Rsmp_89e3aafc depmod: v4l2_masterclock_gettime_Rsmp_a44210f3 depmod: i2c_del_adapter_Rsmp_5babfe4d depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.19-pre9/kernel/drivers/media/video/tuner.o depmod: i2c_master_recv_Rsmp_709ba864 depmod: i2c_add_driver_Rsmp_6d7c1838 depmod: i2c_detach_client_Rsmp_6f8b23f6 depmod: i2c_master_send_Rsmp_06fe6d88 depmod: i2c_probe_Rsmp_084b5829 depmod: i2c_del_driver_Rsmp_11a76106 depmod: i2c_attach_client_Rsmp_0e8734a0 make: *** [install] Error 1 and modprobe saa7143 /lib/modules/2.4.19-pre9/kernel/drivers/media/video/saa7134.o: unresolved symbol i2c_master_recv_Rsmp_709ba864 /lib/modules/2.4.19-pre9/kernel/drivers/media/video/saa7134.o: unresolved symbol video_register_device_Rsmp_d5854fa2 /lib/modules/2.4.19-pre9/kernel/drivers/media/video/saa7134.o: unresolved symbol video_unregister_device_Rsmp_614e49b7 /lib/modules/2.4.19-pre9/kernel/drivers/media/video/saa7134.o: unresolved symbol i2c_add_adapter_Rsmp_33b75073 /lib/modules/2.4.19-pre9/kernel/drivers/media/video/saa7134.o: unresolved symbol v4l2_video_std_construct_Rsmp_94eb59ae /lib/modules/2.4.19-pre9/kernel/drivers/media/video/saa7134.o: unresolved symbol v4l_compat_translate_ioctl_Rsmp_20eff94f /lib/modules/2.4.19-pre9/kernel/drivers/media/video/saa7134.o: unresolved symbol v4l2_video_std_confirm_Rsmp_d2bee5d5 /lib/modules/2.4.19-pre9/kernel/drivers/media/video/saa7134.o: unresolved symbol i2c_master_send_Rsmp_06fe6d88 /lib/modules/2.4.19-pre9/kernel/drivers/media/video/saa7134.o: unresolved symbol video_usercopy_Rsmp_dceed9f1 /lib/modules/2.4.19-pre9/kernel/drivers/media/video/saa7134.o: unresolved symbol v4l2_fill_ctrl_category_Rsmp_89e3aafc /lib/modules/2.4.19-pre9/kernel/drivers/media/video/saa7134.o: unresolved symbol v4l2_masterclock_gettime_Rsmp_a44210f3 /lib/modules/2.4.19-pre9/kernel/drivers/media/video/saa7134.o: unresolved symbol i2c_del_adapter_Rsmp_5babfe4d /lib/modules/2.4.19-pre9/kernel/drivers/media/video/saa7134.o: insmod /lib/modules/2.4.19-pre9/kernel/drivers/media/video/saa7134.o failed /lib/modules/2.4.19-pre9/kernel/drivers/media/video/saa7134.o: insmod saa7134 failed On Mon, 3 Jun 2002 14:46, Andrew Worsley wrote: > Two things may be useful to you.
