FlyVideo3000FM/saa7134/v4l2 static noise on channel change

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

In NZ we use the PAL TV system. I am using linux 2.4.19-pre8, saa7134
driver version 0.1.6, xawtv 3.72, motv 3.72...

The problem occurs when changing channels sometimes (about 33% of the
time). The picture is always fine but the sound reverts to an almost
white-noise output. Nothing but harsh static hiss. Changing back to a
different channel (sometimes) restores the sound, but not always. Happens
with xawtv and motv equally.

It's annoying but I can work around it - I was wondering if it's just a
problem I have? What can I do to start debugging this problem? I've tried
the modprobe debug options but I can't find anything abnormal with the
/var/log/messages output when the sound problem occurs.

Any help appreciated,

Regards,
David
