Re: NVidia GeForce 2MX 200 segmentation fault

Sergey,
As I recall, I had to update the XF86Config-4 or XF86Config file in /etc/X11 to get X to use the newer driver. I strongly suggest making a backup copy before editing that file....just in case. Unless it has changed, you need to look for where X is loading the nv driver and change that line to say nvidia instead. Hope this helps.

Hiya.

My system configuration is:
AMD ThunderBird 1000, 128Mb RAM, NVidia GeForce 2MX 200 w/ 32Mb.

I install RedHat 7.3, and then install this rpms:

NVIDIA_kernel-1.0-2960.rh73up.athlon.rpm
NVIDIA_GLX-1.0-2960.i386.rpm

And when I try to start x server it faults, and says, that it was Fatal server error: Caught signal 11. Server aborting.
Full XFree86.0.log avaliable here: http://aviapride.akl.ru/log.txt
What i need to do to start x's?

Thank you for your patience,
