Are you sure that your FlyVideo 2000 works with bttv? Mine has a Phillips
SAA7130 which would only work with the newer saa7134 module (from
http://bytesex.org/saa7134)

try 'xawtv -noxv'. I think the 2.4.19 version of the kernel has v4l2
merged into the kernel and it behaves differently when accessed via Xv
instead of directly.
