These chips and the new VLSI (nano) era can implement scary devices.

This is the dream of the 'programmed obsolescence' from the
"marketeers useless folks depto.".

Completed self-contained "Closed Devices(gadgets)" prone to become
obsolete at will (their convenience) impossible to repair.

Use and discard. (Pay-per-Use [to see what they want you to see
embeded in the 'programs']) - "streaming" technology as a "better"
service to "users".

Scary control of media. Propaganda. Tons of money from controlling
the "formats" and distribution of advertising.

The hierarchical structure of "digital" distribution will make
this game the most profitable ever. The super-class will have
total control of the ads, ideas and 'opinions'.

Influence. (essentially not so far from present media corps.)

This "gadgets" with "wireless" "technology" if cheap enough and
"easy-to-use" enough can virtually kill every sort of conceivable
media developed so far.

can make all these terms ("robust", "trusted", "free", "marketplace")
just vain words of the whole juris-financial model. Panacea.

Scary thing due to the level of media control it can implement.
