Right, but you can set parameters (bitrate, frame size, NTSC/PAL, etc.) when loading the module. This would be enough for me. I do all of my recording/encoding with the same params anyway. When I add a "quality" selector, this will be a bit more cumbersome but even then, having to pop and push the driver again will not be so bad, considering what benefit I get from the driver. > Some settings are possible as > module parameters, but a nice API would help.
