Hi! I have a strange problem. I have a BT878 based card, it's a MTV878F. I used it during a long time, it wasn't supported completely by bttv, but it was ok for me: video worked but audio didn't I didn't use the card for a long time until I realize that it's supported now by bttv (card=75), the strange thing is that now it doesn't work. Ok, the sound works, but I only have a blue screen. I've tried with and old version of the kernel, the same I used before and it didn't work too. So, I think is not a problem with the software, it's a strange problem with the card A friend of mine took the card to his house and there it worked fine!, so the card is not broken. What I want to know, is how the different modules work together. The blue screen sounds like a tuner problem for me, I tried TV input and Composite input but none worked. These are the modules loaded (among others) [fcatrin@cm-vina-115-27 fcatrin]$ /sbin/lsmod Module Size Used by Tainted: P tuner 8388 0 (autoclean) (unused) bttv 64352 1 (autoclean) i2c-algo-bit 6956 1 (autoclean) [bttv] i2c-core 13280 0 (autoclean) [tuner bttv i2c-algo-bit] videodev 4832 4 (autoclean) [bttv] Why dows it say that "tuner" is unused? Even I can launch xawtv and then I load and unload the tuner without problems. I'ts like tuner don't find a valid tuner hardware These are the logs Mar 27 22:20:52 cm-vina-115-27 kernel: Linux video capture interface: v1.00 Mar 27 22:20:52 cm-vina-115-27 kernel: i2c-core.o: i2c core module Mar 27 22:20:52 cm-vina-115-27 kernel: i2c-algo-bit.o: i2c bit algorithm module Mar 27 22:20:52 cm-vina-115-27 kernel: bttv: driver version 0.7.91 loaded Mar 27 22:20:52 cm-vina-115-27 kernel: bttv: using 2 buffers with 2080k (4160k total) for capture Mar 27 22:20:52 cm-vina-115-27 kernel: bttv: Host bridge is VIA Technologies, Inc.
