After the first test, I can say that recognition of a suitable color
format seems to work:

(II) MGA(0): v4l[/dev/video0]: using hw video scaling [UYVY].
(II) MGA(0): v4l[/dev/video1]: using hw video scaling [YUY2].

Where video0 is the dvb card (saa7146) and the video1 is a bttv card.

I started xawtv and tried the fullscreen mode which was fine for
video0, but didn't scale for video1. I'll have to see where the
problem is.
