Problems with discontinuous timestamps

Hello, List

recently I extracted the VOBs from the DVD "The Corrs --- Live In London"
with DeCSS to my harddisk. I wanted to play them with mplayer and to compress
them with ffmpeg to some other format.

Mplayer works well until about the 35th minute, then the time display
resets to zero, runs on from there, and audio starts to jump piecewise backwards
(2-3 hops per second) like on a scratchy disk. when I seek more forward audio
stops entirely. Anyhow, without audio I can watch the entire 135 minutes of
video.

Ffmpeg shows even more problems. It seems not even to recognize the format
of the files, It just reads some megs, then crashes with "Segmentation fault"

Are these Problems known? Is there a solution?

Regards,
        Ralf
