I think it can be made to become an internet terminal, because it also has a "Mail" LED on the front that presumably flashes when you get mail. The USB is probably for keyboard and mouse. My cable provider is also my high speed internet provider, but at this time they ship two boxes to do it. That could be done in one box with the right hardware, just plug the computer into the ethernet of the digital cable box. -- Trevor Boicey, P. Eng.
