Well, in the current lavrec, this can't be done. You need to record and re-encode seperately and then you get back to the story of "why would I record to JPEG if I want divx as an end format"... lavrec can't record to divx directly... For later on, it will (probably) be possible to encode directly to MPEG/divx (using mpeg2enc/avifile) with lavrec, but that's not a planned feature for 1.6.0. Probably sometime after that. The structure is almost there, basically, but mpeg2enc isn't librarified yet.
