I have played with this on fb and so far, it is SWEET!  Using syncfb
has given me the smoothest scroll of the CNN banner I have seen yet.
As smooth as broadcast!  And preliminary tests did not reveal any
"tear"s either.

This syncfb did not work the the latest Mplayer.  I had to use the
syncfb in the mplayer/drivers/syncfb directory.  Unfortunately it hung
my (Athlon TB 800) machine when I tried to use the right arrow to skip
some frames.  I wonder if I am getting hit by the bug that was
recently discovered re: athlons.

I would really like the CVS version of syncfb to work with Mplayaer.
Maybe I will mosey on over to the Mplayer list and see what is up with
it.
