IR remote control with WinTV card?

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

I'm puting together a new machine for my wife. i bought the fancier WinTV
card which comes with an IR remote.

I'm not having much luck geting this to work.

Here is what I've done.

I'm using Debian woody, and a custom 2.4.17 kernel. I installed the lird
package, and the lird modules package. I let the modules package build the
modules, and geuss at setings. Now the modules seem to load fine, and i
have config files in /etc/lird. They reference haupanage (sp) specifc files
as a relative pathname. I did not seee thise files in /etc/lird, so I found
them in /usr/share/doc, and copied them to /etc/lilrd/haupanage (note I
carefully copied this name, so if I've mispelled it here, that's not the
problem).

However I still can't get the remote to work.

What can I do to troubleshoot this?
