RE: Can somebody tell me what I need to know? Choice of video capture card.

To tell the truth, no!

I need a compression scheme which will allow me to fit 10s of high-quality
video into < 200Mb. The compression scheme must be fairly quick to decode.
And it must be royalty-free. MPEG was my choice based on these specs, but
I'm open to reason!!

Thanks for your reply, Steve!

Regards,
Curtis.

Are you sure that this is a requirement? It narrows your choice hugely,
and MPEG encoding has fairly modest requirements of an Athlon/P4 type
processor.
