v4l2 support will of course be integrated as well, although I currently
only focus on video4linux1.

It sounds good. The (recorder) library will probably still be part of
gstreamer (at least, that's my current plan). The GUI can be a larger
whole, though. It could be done together with the openPVR group.

Unfortunately, that will take weeks or even months to get to the point
where we can actually start with this :-)
