Second let's talk about librtf. it seems to depend upon something called
zapping. I grabed version 0.6.2 of it. It requires libuincode, which i
downloaded and compiled. However now I'm back to trying to configure
zappig, and it's saying it needs gdkpixbuf. Any idea where to get that?
zapping is a TV viewing program, like xawtv. gdkpixbuf should be available
on any gnome ftp mirror.. (there is no "stable" source)
ftp://ftp.gnome.org/pub/gnome/unstable/sources/gdk-pixbuf/
So, I don't actually need it to build NVrec then?
That's really good news, beacuse the effort to build zapping was turning
inot a twisty little maze of dependencies. The last one was a need for
libglade, whch I did not find in the Gnome unstable sources.
What exctly are the prerequistes to build NVrec itslef?
The best recorder in the NVrec package is DIVX4rec - you just need
divx4linux to build this. divx4linux is a closed source, binary only
distribution.
