No, bttv cards usually have a tuner.  Try to use xawtv and see if you can
change channels.  Or take out the card and look for a ~ 1/2 inch by 1.5 inch
metal box connected to the cable in, if the box is there, you have a tuner.
I imagine the constant is there because not all bttv cards have a tuner.

TUNER_ABSENT.  What exactly does that mean?  WinTV-D doesn't have a
tuner?  Am I out of luch with this card?
