Help: video capture with ATI All-In-Wonder 128 Pro

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi folks!

I'd like to be able to capture video signal with a ATI All-In-Wonder 128 Pro
video/tv card. I have a decent Linux box (Redhat 7.2) with 2.4.9smp (13) kernel
and XFree86 version 4.1.0 (3).

Big question is: can this be done? I spent quite some time perusing
mailing lists and I never got a conclusive answer, especially with this
truly infuriating naming scheme from ATI (It's hard to figure out
if All-In-Wonder 128 Pro is equivalent to All-In-Wonder Pro)

If somebody has done it, please email me - I'd be happy to summarize
to the mailing list once and if I get this beast to dance for me.

If not, I'd be interested in what other cards (especially those widely
available in the US 8-) are being used for video capture of meetings
and such. (My big hope is to make mpeg stream available with ffmpeg
server from http://ffmpeg.sourceforge.net)

Thanks!

Pawel
