Around Sat, 3 Nov 2001 12:56:43 -0600, I thought I heard Mike Rosulek say: >Hello folks, > >I've got a Soyo K7ADA motherboard (ALi Magik chipset). I can't get any AGP >video card to work properly with my WinTV Go card. Things work fine in my >i440bx motherboard, and things work fine with thei motherboard + PCI >video. I wonder if it isn't a broken implementation of AGP (Ali M1647 >chipset), but maybe someone could suggest a work-around? As soon as I swapped my A7A266 with an A7V266 my lockups went away.. All I changed was the motherboard and processor, so I'm pretty sure it was the chipset.. That's the only greif it gave me.. And, it also was problematic in WinME, so it's not just a Linux issue.. -- Homer Parker LAN/WAN, Wireless Networking, PC Sales/Service Linux, OS/2, Windows9x, Windows NT/2000 Support PC Services 129 W 8th #101 Russell, KS 67665 785.483.7602 hparker@xxxxxxxxxx http://www.pcsrvc.com Either you can say I'm for Open Source, open standards, or I'm against standards.
