I see.. I didn't have i2c bit-banging selected, so the bt848 was not even
listed in 'menuconfig', and grey in 'xconfig' Operator error. Sorry for
this one.

It's a k6-2
I did insmod bttv bttv_debug=1

Aug 28 17:02:56 shaggy kernel: bttv0: SCERR @ 06537014
Aug 28 17:02:56 shaggy kernel: bttv0: SCERR @ 0653701c
Aug 28 17:02:56 shaggy kernel: bttv0: timeout: risc=051a001c, bits: VSYNC HSYNC OFLOW FBUS PABORT

Lots of the top two now, and a few timeouts. SCERR and risc= numbers change
on reset, reinitialize. But now it works again. Very dirty reception now.
It was crystal clear before. ?? I'm really at a loss on that, but at least
it works.

If you have anything left to add, I'm interested. If not, I guess this thread
can die. I don't know what stopped working yesterday, and started today.
Other then the bttv_debug added, nothing really changed. Infact I havn't
rebooted. At any rate, thanks for the help.
