Thank You François ! for your kind Information ... I have not the time or energy to scan trough yet another Mailinglist I am hoping you or somebody will when it happens (that the Rage 128 All in Wonder card speaks v4l) share this information with this very list :) What could be the timeframe - I understand the Ati Rage cards are selling well ? Meanwhile I'll be looking for another grabbing solution As I mentioned I am kind of impressed by the FireWire and if there was a V4L interface it would probably result in an expansion of that protocol cause not all Firewire DV Products stream Raw Frames ... I guess I am wandering into unusual regions of this topic Anybody on this list who has experiences with Firewire ? cheers Tobias ----- Original Message ----- From: "François Guimond" <darkpope@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: <video4linux-list@xxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, June 28, 2001 08:08 Subject: Re: ATI all in wonder pro 32MB AGP Rage 128... > > ATI provided some of the specs but isn't "fully" cooperative so some reverse > engineering is needed for specific aspects (such as the "TV Out" support).. > > Vladimir Dergachev is best suited to answer general questions about the > project <volodya@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> and the person working on the capture code > is our lovable "R C" <zarquon@xxxxxxxxxxxx> ..
