I did this long ago, changed the ratio to 90/127 (same as 180/254..), from
201/237.  As far as I can tell, 201/237 is just flat wrong.  I'm pretty sure I
mentioned it a few times, but it seems to have fallen on deaf ears.

BTW, how about adding an ioctl to READ the brightness, saturation, color, etc. 
values that are currently being used.
