Nemosoft et al: MIxer level is not the issue. I tweaked that the other day, and I can hear a lot of noise (so card is working), but no sound from TV. I have line out to input jack on the SoundBlaster, and as I said, it works fine on Wintel. Can anyone please simply point me to this FAQ that everyone keeps saying "this came up before... look to FAQ". Perhaps I missed some email when I subscribed to this list, but it's not jumping out at me. I am Unix Admin / DBA by trade, but mainly HP-UX and Solaris, and Linux is pretty new to me (although I had a lot of experience with SunOS BSD). Point me to where I can glean the most info and I probably figure this type of issue out myself. - Joe Pantera NOTE: Please copy your response to jpantera@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= - Joseph F.
