Nemosoft et al:
    MIxer level is not the issue.  I tweaked that the other day, and I can
hear a lot of noise (so card is working), but no sound from TV.  I have line
out to input jack on the SoundBlaster, and as I said, it works fine on
Wintel.  Can anyone please simply point me to this FAQ that everyone keeps
saying "this came up before... look to FAQ".  Perhaps I missed some email
when I subscribed to this list, but it's not jumping out at me.  I am Unix
Admin / DBA by trade, but mainly HP-UX and Solaris, and Linux is pretty new
to me (although I had a lot of experience with SunOS BSD).  Point me to
where I can glean the most info and I probably figure this type of issue out
myself.
