There is no Xvideo support in XF3.3.x AFAIK, which means
there is no V4L support in it either.

This is not a problem.

Just make xawtv use the regular V4L interface ( directly,
without "assistance" of X server ) to get the picture and
use regular ( non-Xvideo ) way to display it.

So:
- remove all Xvideo and v4l stuff from you X11 configuration
- you probaly need the "-noxv" option for xawtv , so it won't
  try to use Xvideo

No warranty though :-)
