Hi Gerd, ok, I changed the cardtype to 54 and dropped the rest of the options for bttv, now it looks like following in the syslog (I have deleted the date and machine ID for better readability): kernel: bttv: Bt8xx card found (0). kernel: PCI: Found IRQ 15 for device 00:08.0 kernel: PCI: The same IRQ used for device 00:08.1 kernel: bttv0: Bt878 (rev 17) at 00:08.0, irq: 15, latency: 32, memory: 0xeb003000 kernel: bttv0: model: BT878(Lifetec LT 9415 TV) [insmod option] kernel: i2c-core.o: adapter bt848 #0 registered as adapter 0. kernel: bttv0: lifetec: stereo(TDA9821) card kernel: bttv0: i2c: checking for MSP34xx @ 0x80... not found kernel: bttv0: i2c: checking for TDA9875 @ 0xb0... not found kernel: bttv0: i2c: checking for TDA7432 @ 0x8a... not found kernel: i2c-core.o: driver i2c TV tuner driver registered. kernel: tuner: chip found @ 0x61 kernel: bttv0: i2c attach [Philips PAL_I] kernel: i2c-core.o: client [Philips PAL_I] registered to adapter [bt848 #0](pos. 0). kernel: bttv0: PLL: 28636363 => 35468950 ... ok It didn't work at all with cardtype 54 the first time I have tried. Now there is a stereodecoder found, but there is definitefely a TDA9820 on my card, the place for the 9821 is free. And Stereo is already not listed in xawtv. What can I do ?
